I ran across a YM 1500 tractor with a 4 ft. shredder. It appears to be in really good shape and runs great. It also has a small box blade with it and the seller is asking $2000 for it.
My questions are: 1) Is this a fair price? 2) How many horsepower is this tractor & 3) Is this a gray market unit and, if so, is there an imported equivalent and are parts readily available and where?

The YM1500 is a grey market and parts are readily available for it. I would say that there are more 1500s, 1700, and 2000s in the US than any other model. The 1500 is 15 PTO hp and 18 engine hp. For $2000 including the bush-hog and blade you are getting a great deal. The 1500s usually sell for $2500 by themselves. I would check it out good to make sure there is nothing wrong with it. ....
